Designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2010, Corales is an exclusive and dramatic 18-hole course with six Caribbean Oceanside holes. Designed along the natural cliffs, bays, ocean coves and the inland lakes and coralina quarries, Corales Golf Course rates among the World’s finest Golf Experiences.
Playing more than 7,500 yards from the championship tees, one aspect to the course that becomes all too apparent from the beginning hole is there is a lot of room out here. The course was grassed wall-to-wall with paspalum turf, and there is plenty of it. Two holes, the third and 15th, even have alternate right and left greens.
The exhilarating challenge culminates playing the Devil’s Elbow, Corales’s last three holes. The Devil’s Elbow features the striking eighteenth hole with a dramatic forced carry over the cliff lined Bay of Corales, an inspired capstone to a memorable and breathtaking golf experience.
Aside from one of the premiere Punta Cana golf courses, the Corales residential community features a private enclave of luxurious homes and golf view estate lots. The seven hundred acres of the Corales community are just a part of the extensive acreage of the Puntacana Resort & Club. Membership opportunities await both Corales Residents as well as the homeowners through out the Resort. With the Resort owning the Punta Cana International Airport and the airport’s private VIP Terminal located in Corales, not only is accessing Corales convenient but flight paths are detoured as not to disturb the peace of this exclusive residential community nor to break the concentration of the Club’s golfers.
The Corales Golf Club welcomes its members and their guests with additional access available to the guests of Tortuga Bay and The Puntacana Hotel’s guests through the Resort’s Golf Experience plans, or those who wish to play a la carte. The a la carte golf rates for the Resort’s guest are $275 in season and $195 during the off season. Subject to availability, the Corales Golf Club accepts a limited number of external guest players. All golf rates are inclusive of taxes and include, eighteen holes with cart and an expansive practice facility. Also included in the golf rates are yardage books, towels, ice water and tees are part of the golf cart’s setup. Cold apples on the 10th tee and scented iced towels at the end of your round complete the inclusions and golf experience. There is a Caribbean view Grill and Nineteenth Hole Bar at the Clubhouse and an on course Beverage Cart. Caddies are mandatory at the Corales Golf Club.
